About The Role
Our Senior Cloud Platform Engineers engage with cutting-edge technologies to automate and configure services. The Cloud Platform Engineers actively participate in the operation, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructures that serve the business's vast customer base. The Platform Services teams are responsible for the architectural design, engineering and ongoing maintenance of our Six Degrees core network that underpins our Connectivity, Cloud and Unified Communication / Voice products and revenue. You’ll be collaborating closely with the product and build teams, serving as the technical authority on new services and their development. This role and its team engage with sales and solution architects to address customer feedback, while also working with delivery and operations teams to ensure that standardization of services, processes, and supportability are taken into account. The technologies involved encompass both platforms and the development tools that underpin the services we provide and the manner in which we deliver and support them. An exciting part of this role will be having visibility with customers and vendor suppliers, acting as a representative of our technology decisions.
Role Requirements
- Candidates should have the Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Microsoft AZ800 / 801 certification as well as Microsoft Azure Foundation AZ-900.
- A strong understanding of virtualisation (Hyper-V, Azure Local) and expertise of storage and compute technologies (Dell, HPe).
- Credible experience with scripting (PowerShell, Terraform) and extensive experience working with Microsoft Windows Server services.
- Extensive experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies, including Veeam, Hyper‑V Replication, and Acronis.
- Proficiency in utilising monitoring tools and applications such as LogicMonitor, PRTG, and SolarWinds.
