About The Role
We are seeking a clientâfocused and highly skilled Technical Delivery Engineer specialising in monitoring the service queues to ensure all clientâraised cases are dealt with. This will include maintaining good customer communication as a point of escalation and proactively managing internal support escalations through all supporting levels. This role focuses on Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB support. You will be focussing on performance optimisation and security of client's Microsoft SQL Server environments, endâtoâend data architecture reviews and resolution of client tickets in line with Six Degrees recordâmanagement processes and ITIL standards.
Role Requirements
The engineer must have demonstrated responsibility for maintaining and developing the technical skills required for their technical specialism in Microsoft SQL Server administration to deliver technical excellence and service to our customers in accordance with key performance indicators and service level agreements. Experience with a variety of SQL solutions such as Azure SQL, SQL Backup and Recovery, SQL High Availability and SQL Server performance monitoring and tuning is highly desirable. They must also have a good understanding of the ITIL framework, particularly Incident and Change, as the Engineer will often be required to implement Change through either RITM or Change. Relevant technology certifications as appropriate to Database technologies â Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2â2022, Azure SQL Database (DP900, DP300, Exam 70â465, Exam 70â467).
