This is a fixed-term Cloud Migration Engineer role, focused on delivering a defined project to migrate multiple platforms and workloads from VMware to Hyper‐V. Our Cloud Migration Engineers work with emerging technologies to automate and configure services, specifically relating to the migration from VMWare to Hyper-V.

The engineer will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and validation of the migration, working across different environments to ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption. The role will involve collaborating with external customers and internal infrastructure and application teams, assisting with VM assessments, supporting migration activities, resolving issues as they arise, and helping stabilise the new Hyper‐V environment post‐migration.

The Platform Services teams are responsible for the architectural design, engineering and ongoing maintenance of our Six Degrees core network that underpins our Connectivity, Cloud and Unified Communication / Voice products and revenue.

Role Requirements

The overall skill requirements are moderate, suited to a mid-level Windows Engineer with a solid foundation in Windows Server administration and hands‐on exposure to either VMware or Hyper‐V environments. Candidates should be VMware Professional VCP‐DCV certified. If you have a strong understanding of virtualisation (Hyper‐V, Azure Local) and expertise of storage and compute technologies (Dell, HPe), we would love to hear from you.
