Kitchen Porter – Six by Nico – London, Fitzrovia 41 Charlotte Street, London (West), London, W1T 1RR We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our kitchen team at Six by Nico. The ideal candidate is flexible, hardworking, and eager to support the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Qualifications Enthusiastic with a good work ethic and flexible approach to working hours Capable of carrying out cleaning tasks quickly and effectively Assists in basic food preparation Can-do attitude, hands‑on approach, and ability to work well under direction Good organisational skills and multitasking ability Experience in kitchen work is preferred Responsibilities Dishwashing and sanitisation: ensure prompt and efficient washing, drying, and storage of all dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment. Kitchen cleanliness: maintain overall hygiene, sweeping, mopping, and sanitising surfaces and floors. Waste management: assist in the proper disposal of food waste and recyclable materials, following sustainability guidelines. Equipment maintenance: support the kitchen team by cleaning and maintaining appliances, utensils, and equipment. Stock management: help organise and rotate stock, ensuring ingredients and supplies are readily available. Assistance to chefs: provide support by preparing ingredients, fetching supplies, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. Health and safety compliance: adhere to all standards, handling and storing chemicals and equipment safely. Team support: collaborate with the kitchen team, offering help during busy periods and maintaining a positive work environment. Cleaning schedules: follow the cleaning schedules and routines set by kitchen management. Food safety: handle food products with care, ensuring proper storage and labeling to prevent cross-contamination. Organisation: keep a tidy storage area and help locate kitchen supplies quickly. Recycling initiatives: support waste reduction efforts by separating recyclable materials correctly.
