We are a rapidly growing wine import company looking for a Warehouse Operative with a hand in deliveries to join us on a permanent, full-time basis on our exciting journey. This role is an integral part of our business working alongside our Logistics Team and Managing Director. We offer a range of wines that we import, distribute and wholesale throughout the UK by combining our passion for wine with our dedication to providing excellent customer service. Some of our customers include restaurant chains, corporate clients, and retail stores. Currently importing from across Europe and the World, we continue globetrotting to build strong relationships with high-quality producers to find new and delicious wines to add to our portfolio.
Hours of Work: 40 per week.
Cellar and Delivery Duties include:
- Dispatching orders, picking and packing stock, timely and accurately
- Responsible for stock, sorting, scanning, vintage rotation, and packing
- Consolidating and wrapping stock
- Ensuring safe systems of work are always complied with, e.g. manual handling procedures followed
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Responsible for opening and closing our warehouse
- General Warehouse duties as required
- Loading and unloading vehicles with goods
- Delivering our goods to our close by customers
Skills and Experience:
- Driving license (essential)
- Experience in a similar position
- Wine knowledge (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work to targets
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to working systems and hours of work
- Good numerical and literacy skills
- Effective communicator
- Confident working as part of a team and on your own
- Due to insurance purposes, candidates must be over the age of 25 (essential)
- Forklift license (desirable but not essential)
- Training offered.
