The ideal candidate would hold the following qualities:

  • Carry out cleaning tasks quickly and effectively

As a Kitchen Porter at Lennox you will:

  • Dishwashing and Sanitization: Ensure the prompt and efficient washing, drying, and storage of all dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and organised kitchen.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitising work surfaces and floors.
  • Waste Management: Assist in the proper disposal of food waste and recyclable materials, following the restaurant's sustainability guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Support the kitchen team by cleaning and maintaining kitchen appliances, utensils, and equipment to prolong their lifespan and functionality.
  • Stock Management: Assist in organising and rotating stock, ensuring ingredients and supplies are readily available to the kitchen staff.
  • Assistance to Chefs: Provide support to the chefs and kitchen staff as needed, such as preparing ingredients, fetching supplies, and assisting with basic food preparation tasks.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety standards, following proper procedures for handling and storing chemicals and kitchen tools.
