Sivers Photonics (a subsidiary of Sivers Semiconductors AB) is the world’s most advanced supplier of customised III-V compound semiconductor laser devices, which are critical to high-growth optical communications and optical sensing markets. Our photonic laser devices are enabling next-generation applications, including artificial intelligence, data-centres and ethernet.
We are a key strategic supplier to many Fortune 100 and Silicon Valley customers and collaborate with leading academic institutions and industry research centres worldwide. From our UK-based foundry near Glasgow, Scotland, we provide end-to-end design, manufacture and qualification for early-phase prototypes and high-volume production, supporting up to 100mm wafer sizes on InP, GaAs, GaSb and GaN substrates. Our team of over 80 staff are working across roles in R&D, wafer fabrication and backend assembly & test, as well as in various commercial roles.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with a demonstrable work ethic who has previous experience within an administrative role to join our Team. The successful candidate will be an energetic, hardworking and dynamic individual who is keen to continue to learn new skills, can show initiative and strong attention to detail. It would also be preferable that you are familiar with using Microsoft Office packages. You will also have good written English as well as strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to our office and our project team.
- Schedule meetings for the SLT, set reminders and request meeting material.
- Assist by welcoming all clients, visitors and acting as host to create excellent relationships.
- Manage boardroom and boardroom bookings where necessary.
- Manage our conference/exhibitions by planning, booking, sourcing of promotional items, shipping, travel and registration within budget.
- General office management – telephone contract, company vehicles, logistics, supplies, catering, replenishing stationery, ensuring best value and service.
- Publish key dates in respect of submission deadlines; delivery dates, travel etc via ‘corporate calendar’. Provide detailed itinerary.
- Liaising with external suppliers, ensuring service levels are maintained.
- Assist with project administration tasks, including scheduling project meetings, taking meeting minutes, updating milestone schedules and compiling basic reports.
- Extensive experience in multi-tasking.
- Demonstrable experience in C Suite support and corporate governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organised, agile and flexible approach with an understanding and successful application of how to prioritise, plan and deliver on key work activities without close supervision, demonstrating the ability to work on a series of unrelated problems simultaneously.
- Understanding and successful application of strong IT skills, including use of the MS Office suite and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in a Business Administrative role.
- Project management experience would be an advantage.
- Team player – open and supportive to others.

- Willing to challenge and comfortable being challenged.
- Flexible approach to changing workloads and time demands.
- Results orientated with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.
