Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in network or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on IT infrastructure and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS and virtualization
- Experience with networking technologies including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto
- Familiarity with modern networking concepts such as TCP/IP, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust
- Experience with servers, storage systems such as NetApp or Dell EMC, and end-user devices
- Comfortable working with physical infrastructure including cabling, racking, and hardware handling
- CCNA preferred but not essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Highly organised with the ability to multitask
- Comfortable working independently and within global teams
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support across network, server, and infrastructure environments
- Carry out IMAC activities, including installs, moves, adds, and changes
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Perform physical infrastructure tasks such as racking, cabling, and patching
- Manage server rooms and communications environments
- Support network troubleshooting across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and voice
- Handle incidents, requests, and changes using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
- Coordinate with vendors and manage repairs and logistics
- Support infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations
- Ensure compliance with security, safety, and IT standards

This is an on-site role at £51,900 to £57,700 per year, starting on 6th July 2026, where you will support critical IT operations across multiple UK and international sites. You will act as the key on-site technical expert, working closely with global IT teams in a high-performing environment with real impact on infrastructure reliability and service delivery. The role supports UK Midstream sites, London colo locations, and Nordic locations.
