Requirements
- Experience developing application-level software in C++, C#, Java, or a similar language.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software engineering practices.
- Knowledge of Data Distribution Service (DDS) is advantageous.
- Defence industry experience is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test application software, including sophisticated business logic.
- Collaborate with internal algorithm teams to integrate algorithms and implement complex transformation logic.
- Test and verify software functionality and integrations.
- Implement and integrate interfaces with other subsystems and external simulators.
- Build and extend components within an existing software application framework.
- Deploy software into a virtualised test environment.
- Contribute to a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability.

Details
We are a world-class defence organisation based in Bristol, hiring three Software Engineers on an initial 12-month contract with a very likely extension. The role is inside IR35 and offered on an onsite basis four days per week, with a four-day working week available from Monday to Thursday and some remote working possible depending on the project. This is a long-term opportunity within a team developing a demonstration system for a complex new Command and Control capability, with the potential to evolve into a fully operational development project. We offer an overtime rate of time and a quarter for hours worked over the standard 37-hour week.
