- Relevant degree, technical Microsoft certification, or equivalent experience.
- Expert knowledge of Active Directory, Federation Services, Exchange, and the Microsoft Server product family in an enterprise environment.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft cloud platform, including Entra ID, Azure, and associated services.
- In-depth knowledge of virtualisation platforms, specifically Microsoft Hyper‑V and VMware.
- Knowledge of network hardware configuration and management, including routers, firewalls, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication.
- Knowledge of multifactor authentication systems.
- Excellent visualisation and articulation of problems and solutions.

Responsibilities
- We design, implement, and manage robust ICT back‑end infrastructure in collaboration with the wider ICT Infrastructure team.
- We support servers, cloud platforms, network architecture, WAN, and related systems and facilities across our group businesses.
- We help create and maintain a highly secure and adaptable infrastructure connecting all group entities.
- We optimise connectivity between head offices, regional offices, and depots.
- We develop comprehensive schedules and replacement plans for future infrastructure requirements.
- We monitor server and infrastructure life cycles and ensure timely maintenance and upgrades.
- We design, implement, and regularly test Disaster Recovery plans with Information Security and Business Continuity teams.
- We establish robust system backup and replication procedures in line with policies and procedures.
- We collaborate with Information Security, Business Continuity, and IT teams to incorporate business application needs into Disaster Recovery planning.
- We manage and maintain group‑wide firewalls, antivirus systems, SIEM platforms, and Network Access Control systems with the Information Security team.
- We monitor systems proactively and resolve incidents effectively, including root cause analysis for security incidents.
- We plan for group expansions and changes, ensuring scalable and adaptable infrastructure.
- We work with the IT Infrastructure Manager to establish communication and escalation guidelines for critical issues.
- We contribute to the documentation and rollout of group‑wide IT policies and governance compliance.
- We use ITSM systems to log and track work activities and changes.
- We carry out other duties as assigned by the manager.
