We are looking for a project-focused infrastructure engineer with experience delivering end-to-end technical projects. We need strong knowledge of on-prem and cloud infrastructure, including virtualisation, networking, security, and Microsoft 365 platforms. We require experience with hybrid environments, particularly VMware platforms integrated with cloud services. We are seeking experience in cloud and Microsoft 365 initiatives such as migrations, tenant configuration, identity integration, and security improvements. We want someone with the ability to act as a senior technical lead and make sound design decisions aligned to best practice engineering standards. We need experience designing and implementing secure solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, conditional access, endpoint security, and Zero Trust principles. We are looking for experience delivering infrastructure upgrade, lifecycle, migration, and re-platforming projects. We value experience contributing to ISO 27001 compliance activities, including control implementation, gap analysis, and audit readiness. We require experience designing and testing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. We expect strong technical documentation skills, including producing detailed designs and implementation plans. We are seeking someone who can work full-time from our office and collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders. Relevant engineering, infrastructure, or similar technical experience is essential; formal education is not specified but a strong practical background is expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure projects from initial planning through implementation and handover.
  • Drive cloud and Microsoft 365 projects, including migrations, tenant configuration, identity integration, and security enhancements.
  • Engineer and optimise hybrid infrastructure environments that combine on-prem VMware platforms with cloud services.
  • Deliver platform improvements and transformation work across compute, storage, networking, and identity.
  • Act as a senior technical lead on projects, making key design decisions and ensuring best practice engineering standards.
  • Design and implement secure infrastructure solutions such as firewalls, VPNs, conditional access, endpoint security, and Zero Trust controls.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrade and lifecycle initiatives, including major version upgrades, migrations, and re-platforming activities.
  • Contribute to ISO 27001 compliance projects, including control implementation, gap analysis, and audit readiness.
  • Design and test disaster recovery and business continuity solutions as part of project delivery.
  • Produce detailed technical designs, implementation plans, and documentation aligned to project outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and stakeholders to deliver complex technical projects in an office-based environment.
