Requirements

  • Active DV clearance required
  • Extensive experience in Oracle Database administration and product upgrades
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*PLUS, and Report Writer
  • Strong knowledge of Unix and Shell scripting, as well as PowerShell
  • Familiarity with Python programming
  • Experience with databases including Oracle (19c, 18c, 12c, 11g, 10g, 9i, 8i, 7.3), SQL Server, DB2, and MongoDB
  • Knowledge of development tools such as Developer 2000, Forms (4.5, 5, 6, 6i), and Reports (2.5, 3, 6)

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior level Oracle database administration across Teamcenter and wider Oracle based platforms
  • Support programme initiatives through direct DBA involvement in Teamcenter deployments
  • Act as the senior DBA during release activities, providing hands‑on support for deployments, rollbacks, and recovery if required
  • Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure safe planning, testing, and execution of deployments
  • Create, manage, and review regular Oracle database backups across all Teamcenter environments to meet recovery objectives
  • Provide assurance that restore processes are proven and documented
  • Support upgrades and patching for Oracle based applications, including P6, assessing database impacts and providing execution support
  • Act as the point of escalation for complex incidents, performance issues, and data integrity concerns within the onsite Oracle team
  • Provide Business as Usual (BAU) oversight for Oracle database services, reviewing health, performance, capacity, and availability
  • Assist with other project work by providing DBA input during design, build, test, and transition phases
