Requirements
- Proven experience designing and managing large-scale enterprise networks.
- Strong understanding of routing and core protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and NFS.
- Solid experience in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption standards.
- Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware vSphere.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server environments.
- Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are preferred.
- Experience working within structured IT environments, with ITIL knowledge beneficial.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network architecture across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of network services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multiple environments.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Lead network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
- Implement secure remote access solutions, including VPN, IPsec, SSL/TLS, and SSH.
- Enforce network security best practices, including firewall rules, IDS/IPS, encryption, and PKI.
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and security using appropriate tools.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Manage patching, updates, and configuration backups.
- Produce clear documentation for network configurations and disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Participate in on-call support and incident response when required.
