Requirements
- Previously worked in a similar senior data science role.
- Ability to balance technical delivery with leadership responsibilities while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical thinking and a passion for solving complex problems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to different audiences.
- Experience writing scripts to provide insights into complex system performance within high-volume synthetic environments, using Python or MATLAB.
- Experience with data transformation and visualisation frameworks.
- Experience generating GUIs to display key data insights.
- Experience developing product-quality software applications.
- BSc or Masters degree in a data-related subject.
- Strong background in statistics and data assimilation techniques is desirable.
- Experience prototyping AI/ML techniques, such as LLMs and neuromorphic systems, is desirable.
- Knowledge of Electromagnetic Spectrum systems such as Radar, Electronic Warfare or Jamming technologies is desirable.
- Interest in GPU-accelerated architectures and high-performance computing is desirable.
- Experience using DevOps and software development tools such as Jira and BitBucket is desirable.
- Must be a UK national and eligible to work in the UK.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK Government SC level security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of data science activities in support of a dedicated Test & Evaluation programme.
- Define, scope and review tasking for Data Science team members.
- Develop analytical, predictive and visualisation solutions using modern data science techniques.
- Prototype and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning technologies.
- Develop robust, high-quality software applications and tools.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to colleagues.
- Report progress and technical outputs to project stakeholders.
- Support business development activities and technical bid responses.
- Ensure data science processes and best practices are followed.
- Work closely with project leads and customers to understand complex challenges and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Help shape the future direction of our Data Science capability.
- Identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies.
- Support business growth through technical input into bids and proposals.

This is a full-time, on-site role based at our head office in Little Paxton, St Neots, working alongside a highly skilled team of Data Scientists, Software Engineers and Technical Specialists on innovative solutions for highly secure customers.
