Requirements
- Hands-on communications engineer with strong land mobile radio experience.
- Experience with Motorola LMR/DMR systems, including infrastructure, configuration, commissioning, and in-service support is a significant advantage.
- Comfortable working in structured, regulated environments.
- Military engineering background, such as Royal Signals or REME senior NCO / Artificer level is ideal.
- Currently SC cleared or has held SC clearance previously and can refresh it without issues.
- Experience in fault finding across a range of telecommunication platforms.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in RF fault diagnostics.
- Broader technical skills, particularly in designing bespoke solutions.
- Ability to provide technical assurance and support in major contracts.
Responsibilities
- Design and build bespoke technical solutions in line with MoD requirements.
- Provide technical assurance to MoD contacts.
- Prepare code plugs and fleet plans for MoD requirements.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications equipment from multiple vendors, primarily Motorola Solutions.
- Carry out site maintenance and servicing.
- Manage faults through log analysis, defect debugging, and workarounds.
- Support customer needs analysis and present new products to customers.
- Provide technical support for communication systems across major contracts.
- Work within our dedicated special projects engineering team on radio engineering solutions.
