Requirements
- 2 years experience in military or commercial radio communication
- Experience in RF propagation
- Strong IT skills, specifically in database management, networking topologies, TCP/IP, and DMR/PMR software applications
- Current or previously held SC (security clearance)
- Experience in fault finding across multiple telecommunication platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Skills in RF fault diagnostics
- Broader technical skills in the design of bespoke solutions
- Familiarity with PMR programming software for Tait, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood, and Hytera
Responsibilities
- Work within the dedicated engineering team to provide bespoke technical solutions for customers and SMEs in Radio Engineering
- Design and build bespoke technical solutions in line with customer requirements
- Provide technical assurance to customers
- Prepare CODEPLUGS and FLEET Plans for customer specifications
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications equipment from various vendors such as Hytera, Motorola, Tait, Simoco, and Kenwood
- Manage site maintenance and servicing, including fault management, log analysis, and defect debugging
- Support business by analyzing customer needs and presenting new products
- Offer technical support for communication systems in major contracts
