Requirements

  • Strong experience delivering SAP solutions in a DevOps or Agile environment.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe PI planning.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experience managing delivery metrics and driving performance improvement.
  • Ability to manage priorities, risks, and dependencies in complex environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of tactical SAP changes across business and internal projects.
  • Translate user stories into detailed delivery plans through to early life support.
  • Facilitate estimation, planning, and scheduling to support predictable delivery.
  • Ensure system changes are delivered as planned and committed.
  • Remove blockers and manage dependencies to support timely delivery.
  • Support PI planning cycles and optimise capacity across workstreams.
  • Promote and embed DevOps principles, including collaboration, automation, customer‑centric decision making, and continuous learning.
  • Implement and continuously improve Agile practices such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Drive cross‑functional collaboration and transparency across all work.
  • Maximise resource utilisation to increase throughput and business value.
  • Track and improve delivery metrics such as lead time, cycle time, sprint velocity, technical debt, and unplanned work.
  • Conduct Lean analysis, including Value Stream Mapping, to remove inefficiencies and improve flow.
  • Foster accountability, high performance, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product Leads and stakeholders to align PI objectives with business goals.
  • Build strong relationships across business, IT, suppliers, and partners.
  • Communicate delivery performance and risks to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure user needs are understood and met across all stages of delivery.
  • Ensure all DevOps activities align with organisational strategy, policies, governance, quality, and security standards.
  • Provide specialist advice on information management and collaborative working.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes, tools, and ways of working.
  • Develop reusable delivery assets such as dashboards, planning tools, trackers, and roadmaps.
  • Leverage innovation sprints to introduce new tools or techniques.
  • Build and share knowledge across the DevOps and SAP communities.
  • Coach and mentor team members to support capability growth.
  • Maintain visibility and control of all work in progress.
  • Manage capacity across PI cycles to prevent over‑ or under‑allocation.
  • Facilitate retrospectives and ensure improvement actions are implemented.
  • Drive performance reporting to portfolio leadership.
