Requirements

  • Strong commercial PHP development experience.
  • Solid skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience building responsive web applications.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Understanding of XML and JSON.
  • Previous experience developing commercial web solutions.
  • Experience with PHP MVC frameworks is valued.
  • Exposure to React or modern JavaScript frameworks is valued.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Linux environments is valued.
  • Experience with package managers such as Composer or npm is valued.
  • Understanding of web security best practices, including XSS and SQL Injection prevention is valued.
  • Experience with REST or SOAP APIs is valued.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins is valued.
  • Experience using Jira or similar workflow tools is valued.
  • Knowledge of CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS is valued.

Responsibilities

  • Manage source control and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with wider IT and technical teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
