Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Network Engineering roles.
- Demonstrable experience configuring network systems, including switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing, and voice.
- Cisco CCNA-level qualifications or vendor-equivalent accreditations.
- Knowledge of network security, virtual private networking (VPN), converged networks, and broadband technologies.
- Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network infrastructures for enterprise organisations.
- Understanding of racking, cabling, containment systems, and standards.
- Subject Matter Expert experience in one or more areas is an advantage.
- Strong behavioural competencies for frequent change, urgency, and versatility.

- Applicant must be a sole UK National.
- Applicant must not have left the country for more than 28 consecutive days within the last 5 years.
- Applicant must be able to work 5 days per week on site in Barrow-in-Furness.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with client project managers, SMEs, and architects to deliver projects on time and above expectation.
- Collaborate with support teams and other functions to ensure seamless integration of project work into the run service.
- Undertake equipment installations and configuration activities for complex or high business impact solutions.
- Perform infrastructure surveys, both wired and wireless.
- Support office moves, adds, and changes.
- Perform technical refresh activities for network hardware and cabling.
- Configure core infrastructure components such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and voice systems.
- Perform impact assessments on large or complex networks.
- Carry out testing to pre-determined plans and analyse the results.
