Requirements
- We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in data governance, information protection, or cloud security.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar governance and compliance tooling.
- Experience delivering security or compliance controls in Microsoft 365 and/or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of data classification, lifecycle, and governance principles.
- Understanding of identity and access control concepts such as Entra ID and RBAC.
- Experience working with both structured and unstructured data.
- Scripting and automation skills, ideally in PowerShell, Python, or KQL.
- Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
- Microsoft certifications such as SC‑400, AZ‑500, DP‑203, or AZ‑305 are welcomed.
- Experience with Azure data services such as Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.

Responsibilities
- Design and manage Microsoft Purview Data Map, Data Catalogue, and governance frameworks.
- Register, classify, and scan data sources across cloud, SaaS, and on‑premises environments.
- Maintain accurate metadata, taxonomy, and business glossary information.
- Establish data lineage to improve visibility of data flows.
- Define ownership and accountability with data owners and stewards.
- Design and implement sensitivity labelling across Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Deploy auto‑labelling to identify and protect sensitive data such as personal or financial information.
- Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention controls.
- Embed information protection into business processes and user workflows.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Purview compliance capabilities such as Compliance Manager and Insider Risk.
- Support regulatory requirements such as GDPR.
- Contribute to audits, risk assessments, and control reviews.
- Monitor and report on data protection posture and control effectiveness.
