Requirements
- Strong background in data architecture with a foundation in software engineering
- Experience defining data strategy, migration, and integration approaches
- Hands‑on capability with Java, Scala, or Python where required
- Experience working with big data technologies and distributed systems
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Experience across both open‑source and enterprise data platforms
- Strong understanding of data modelling and architectural methodologies
- Experience with microservices architecture and REST‑based systems
- Ability to design for structured and unstructured data environments
- Understanding of non‑functional requirements and system design principles
- Ability to review code and ensure engineering quality
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical detail clearly
- Comfortable engaging with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Ability to analyse complex problems and define practical solutions
- Collaborative approach to delivery across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work on engagements requiring UK Government BPSS and SC security clearance, in line with programme requirements
