Requirements
- Significant experience in IT architecture with a strong focus on data and analytics solutions.
- Proven experience designing and evolving enterprise‑scale data platforms.
- Deep expertise in cloud‑based data and analytics services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Databricks and Azure ML.
- Experience shaping proofs of concept and evolving designs into production solutions.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading and developing architecture teams.
- Preferred experience working with architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF and Zachman.
- Preferred broad knowledge of enterprise data technologies, including lakehouse and medallion architectures, legacy data platforms, and data engineering approaches such as ETL, ELT, and CDC.
- Preferred experience working within large, complex, or highly regulated organisations.
Responsibilities
- Define and govern solution and enterprise architectures for data analytics platforms.
- Translate business strategies and requirements into target architectures, solution designs, and technology roadmaps.
- Produce architectural artefacts including blueprints, technical options, design patterns, and high‑level designs.
- Shape architectural decisions across complex initiatives and represent architecture at governance forums.
- Lead and develop a team of architects, supporting capability development and delivery.
- Engage with senior stakeholders across Technology and the wider Bank.
- Promote best practice across the data lifecycle, including data governance, quality, security, and responsible use.
