We are looking for a project-focused infrastructure engineer with strong experience delivering infrastructure and platform engineering projects. We require hands-on experience across on-prem and cloud environments, including virtualisation, networking, security, and Microsoft 365 platforms. We need experience with VMware-based hybrid infrastructure and integration with cloud services. We require knowledge of cloud and Microsoft 365 initiatives, including migrations, tenant configuration, identity integration, and security enhancements. We are looking for experience designing and implementing secure solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, conditional access, endpoint security, and Zero Trust principles. We require experience leading infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle projects, migrations, and re-platforming activities. We value experience contributing to ISO 27001 compliance work, including control implementation, gap analysis, and audit readiness. We require experience designing and testing disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. We are looking for someone comfortable producing technical designs, implementation plans, and documentation. We need a candidate who can take ownership, make key design decisions, and work to best-practice engineering standards. Full-time office presence is required, with close collaboration alongside engineers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of infrastructure projects from initial planning through implementation and handover.
  • Drive cloud and Microsoft 365 initiatives, including migrations, tenant configuration, identity integration, and security improvements.
  • Engineer and optimise hybrid infrastructure environments, integrating on-prem VMware platforms with cloud services.
  • Deliver platform improvements and transformation projects across compute, storage, networking, and identity.
  • Act as a senior technical lead on projects and make key design decisions.
  • Design and implement secure infrastructure solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, conditional access, endpoint security, and Zero Trust controls.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrade and lifecycle activities, including major version upgrades, migrations, and re-platforming.
  • Contribute to ISO 27001 compliance projects, including control implementation, gap analysis, and audit preparation.
  • Design and test disaster recovery and business continuity solutions as part of project delivery.
  • Produce detailed technical designs, implementation plans, and supporting documentation aligned to project outcomes.
  • Work closely with our office-based team and stakeholders to deliver complex technical projects.
