We are looking for an experienced Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or Development Manager with a background in leading, mentoring, or managing software developers. We need strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams. We require excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage and influence a wide range of audiences. We are seeking someone with a proven ability to drive change, improve systems, and implement new ways of working. We value commercial awareness and an understanding of how technology contributes to organisational performance. We require experience working with third-party suppliers and outsourced development partners. We need a proactive, solutions-focused professional with strong problem-solving skills.

We are looking for experience in several of the following: PHP, C#/.NET, web application development, SQL and database technologies, API integrations, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, Agile delivery environments, and modern software development practices. Desirable experience includes Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power BI, and WordPress.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small software development team, with the opportunity to grow the function over time.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across our organisation.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers and development partners.
  • Create and deliver a roadmap for transitioning externally managed systems and services into an internal development function.
  • Take ownership of our software applications, web platforms, and digital products.
  • Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and development practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and organisational performance through technology.
  • Contribute to technical design, development, and solution delivery where required.
  • Promote best practice in software development, security, and Agile delivery.
