Requirements

  • We need an experienced AWS Data Solution Architect with the ability to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms.
  • We require experience translating business requirements into scalable, secure and governed cloud data solutions.
  • We need hands-on experience with AWS data and integration services such as AWS Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge, DMS, Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Redshift and Athena.
  • We require experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • We need experience defining AWS multi-account operating models, landing zones, security guardrails and environment strategies.
  • We require the ability to lead cloud migration and modernisation programmes from legacy data estates to AWS.
  • We need candidates who are eligible to obtain Security Check (SC) Clearance, typically including continuous UK residency for the previous five years.
  • We prefer experience supporting AI, Machine Learning and GenAI initiatives.
  • We prefer public sector delivery experience.
  • We prefer familiarity with AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Data Engineer Associate or Security Specialty.
  • We prefer experience with AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild and Git-based CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

  • We design and architect modern AWS data platforms supporting analytics, AI/ML and GenAI initiatives.
  • We build scalable data integration and ingestion frameworks using AWS Glue, Step Functions, EventBridge and DMS.
  • We design secure lakehouse and data warehouse solutions leveraging Amazon S3, AWS Lake Formation, Redshift and Athena.
  • We enable AI and machine learning capabilities through governed, feature-ready datasets and integration with AWS AI services.
  • We lead platform governance, metadata management, lineage and data quality initiatives.
  • We define AWS multi-account operating models, landing zones, security guardrails and environment strategies.
  • We drive platform performance, scalability, resilience and cost optimisation.
  • We implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • We lead cloud migration and modernisation programmes from legacy data estates to modern AWS architectures.
  • We collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, data scientists and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.
