Requirements

  • Strong development capabilities in full-stack web applications at an enterprise level
  • Proficiency in Python and React
  • Hands-on experience integrating a chat or messaging application
  • Recent project experience developing and integrating a chat/messaging application within the education or learning industry
  • Experience in Ed-Tech, Education, or Consultancy is highly desirable
  • Experience in software development and architecture, with a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software applications
  • Experience working on AI, ML, or LLM-based applications is desirable
  • Experience with AWS is beneficial, including certification
  • Experience with Terraform is beneficial
  • Experience with Kubernetes is beneficial
  • Experience with OAuth and JWTs is beneficial
  • Familiarity with data science and ML tooling such as scikit, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, or PyTorch is beneficial
  • Familiarity with ML or GenAI tooling such as LangChain, LangSmith, MLflow, Dataiku, DataRobot, SageMaker, Bedrock, or Weights & Biases is beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our Technology Lead, product managers, experience designers, QA, and subject matter experts to develop and optimise the application
  • Contribute to our technical architecture, make relevant technical choices, and advise on the selection of third-party suppliers and partners
  • Develop, evolve, and maintain high-quality, scalable software applications
  • Deliver high-quality code in short iterations, focusing on business and end-user value
  • Ensure our application meets high performance and scalability standards
  • Contribute to requirement definition through user stories and analysis
  • Participate in code reviews and design discussions, providing constructive feedback to peers
  • Mentor other members of the team
  • Continuously improve the application through innovation, experimentation, and iteration
  • Stay up to date with new developments in web development, AI, cloud engineering, and language assessment
