Requirements
- Experience with data preparation, validation, analysis, and modelling
- Experience with mathematical optimisation, rules programming, and analytics
- Experience with model performance testing, identifying areas of improvement, and implementation
- Experience working with large data sets, with thousands of objects, and complex metadata and characteristics
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience working in a security cleared environment
- Active relevant Security Clearance (SC) required prior to engagement
Responsibilities
- Support a contract Data Scientist role on a large MOD/defence project
- Work on data preparation, validation, analysis, and modelling
- Apply mathematical optimisation, rules programming, and analytics
- Test model performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements
- Work with large and complex data sets as part of a new innovative programme with the MOD
- Work onsite in Farnborough three days per week in a hybrid arrangement
