We require an experienced cyber security professional with a strong background in cyber transformation and governance. We require experience working closely with a CISO or senior cyber leadership team. We require excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence senior leaders. We require proven experience developing cyber policies, standards, procedures, and strategic frameworks. We require a strong understanding of cyber assurance, compliance, risk management, and remediation. We require knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements, including GDPR. We require experience in highly regulated or complex environments, which would be advantageous. We require the ability to support interim strategic cyber security transformation initiatives. We require strong communication skills and the ability to provide leadership briefings on emerging threats and trends.
Responsibilities:
- Act as an internal cyber security advisor aligned with our organisational strategy and objectives.
- Lead and coordinate the resolution of complex and high-profile cyber security issues.
- Develop, refresh, and embed our cyber policies, standards, and procedures.
- Track compliance, adoption, and governance alignment across our programmes.
- Provide portfolio oversight, reporting, and remediation management.
- Conduct horizon scanning and provide leadership briefings on emerging threats and trends.
- Support the development of cyber profession standards alongside our HR and Learning & Development teams.
- Contribute to our cyber assurance activities and senior-level incident readiness planning.
- Ensure alignment with statutory obligations, including GDPR and wider regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the Deputy CISO and our Cyber Security & Information Assurance function to advance cyber maturity and transformation objectives.
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Transformation Lead to support our interim cyber security transformation efforts and help accelerate our strategic objectives. You will work closely with our Deputy CISO and Cyber Security & Information Assurance function to strengthen our cyber strategy, governance, assurance, policy development, and overall cyber maturity. We offer hybrid working with two days per week onsite in the North West England area, which is mandatory.
