We are looking for an experienced Business Architect, Business Analyst, Process Manager, or IT-enabled Business Change professional. We need strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership. We need experience designing and improving business operating models, processes, and organisational capabilities. We need the ability to capture, analyse, challenge, and prioritise complex business requirements. We need experience developing business cases, investment proposals, and benefits realisation plans. We need knowledge of business process modelling and architecture frameworks or methodologies. We need experience supporting large-scale transformation, digital, or change programmes. We need strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments. We need experience working within structured project delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2 or similar. We need the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders. We need experience evaluating solution options and supporting procurement activities, including RFI, RFP, and ITT. We need understanding of governance, risk management, and change control processes. We need excellent communication, facilitation, and workshop leadership skills. We need experience working in highly regulated, asset-intensive, or safety-critical industries.

Responsibilities

  • We lead engagement with business stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, requirements, risks, and dependencies for business change initiatives.
  • We capture, analyse, validate, and prioritise business requirements to ensure alignment with strategic programme objectives.
  • We develop and maintain business architecture artefacts including process models, operating models, and business capability maps.
  • We support the development of business cases and investment proposals, ensuring benefits are clearly defined and measurable.
  • We evaluate solution options with internal teams and delivery partners to ensure alignment with business and user needs.
  • We maintain end-to-end ownership of business requirements, ensuring traceability through design, build, and implementation phases.
  • We support early-stage project definition, including project mandates, option analysis, and feasibility assessments.
  • We work closely with project, delivery, architecture, and supplier teams to ensure integrated and consistent solution design.
  • We support procurement activities including RFI and ITT preparation, supplier engagement, and solution evaluation.
  • We identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and operational optimisation.
  • We facilitate cross-functional alignment across business areas, ensuring consistency of processes and systems.
  • We act as a key interface between business stakeholders, suppliers, and technical delivery teams.
  • We produce clear documentation and support reporting requirements within architecture and governance structures.

We are hiring a Business Architect for a major programme in the nuclear industry, supporting large-scale business and digital transformation within a complex, highly regulated environment. This is a contract role starting immediately, running up to December 2026 with possible extension, offering up to £750 per day via umbrella. The role is based in Leiston, Suffolk, with a hybrid working pattern of three days on site and two days from home.
