Requirements

  • Proven experience installing and managing IBM Maximo Application Suite.
  • Strong expertise with Red Hat OpenShift, Single Node OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with containerized enterprise applications.
  • Experience across on-premise platforms, including VMware vSphere, storage, and networking concepts.
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or IBM Cloud.
  • Knowledge of load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and ingress controllers.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
  • Experience with IBM Db2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Kafka as used within MAS.
  • Experience with object storage, including S3-compatible services.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible (desirable).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based tooling.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging platforms.
  • Experience with MAS Ansible and CLI.
  • IBM Maximo or MAS certification preferred.
  • Red Hat OpenShift certification, such as DO280 or DO380 preferred.
  • Cloud certifications in Azure or AWS preferred.
  • Experience in asset management, utilities, transport, or manufacturing sectors preferred.
  • DevSecOps or SRE experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Clear documentation and communication skills.
  • Comfort working with clients and project stakeholders.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused approach.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Maximo Application Suite components, including Maximo Manage, Monitor, Health, Visual Inspection, Assist, and IoT integrations.
  • Perform MAS installations using IBM Red Hat OpenShift across on-premise infrastructure, public cloud, hybrid environments, and bare metal.
  • Manage MAS lifecycle operations, including patching, upgrades, and version alignment.
  • Deploy and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters for MAS workloads.
  • Configure persistent storage, networking and ingress, service mesh, and routing.
  • Troubleshoot cluster health, performance, and capacity issues.
  • Design target architectures for MAS based on high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Provision infrastructure using VMware, bare metal, and cloud-native services such as IaaS and PaaS.
  • Collaborate with cloud landing zone and networking teams.
  • Implement security best practices, including TLS and certificate management, identity integration, and secrets management.
  • Ensure MAS deployments comply with enterprise security and governance standards.
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for MAS infrastructure issues.
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts.
  • Document environments, installation procedures, and operational runbooks.
  • Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
