We require proven experience in developing user requirements into effective BI visualisations. We require familiarity with Power BI, data modelling, Azure DevOps, ORACLE, and Microsoft SQL Server. We require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively. We require a full UK driving licence and the ability to achieve suitable security clearance. A degree or equivalent qualification in a technology discipline is desirable.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining engaging Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Building and optimising Power BI semantic models to meet organisational reporting needs.
- Creating and managing dataflows and shared datasets for enterprise reporting.
- Applying dimensional modelling principles to enhance analytical workloads.
- Collaborating with data engineers to design and document effective technical solutions.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the Power BI estate, ensuring optimum performance.
- Ensuring compliance with security standards and testing requirements.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Supporting the Force Performance Management Team in delivering data insights.
- Managing DevOps work items and contributing to version control and deployment processes.
- Staying updated on the latest BI technologies and recommending enhancements.
We are recruiting for a Business Intelligence Developer to join the Lincolnshire Police Force in Nettleham, Lincoln. This is a temporary, full-time hybrid role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:00am and 16:30pm, with an end date of June 2027. The role offers an hourly rate of £17.97 and requires driving.
