Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience facilitating secure, high-availability production workloads at scale across multiple environments, with strong AWS expertise.
- Proven experience using Terraform and Ansible, or closely aligned infrastructure-as-code technologies.
- Strong background in systems administration within multi-layer, Linux-based application stacks.
- Demonstrable scripting experience for production environments using Bash and/or Python.
- Exceptional self-organisation and communication skills, with a proven track record of proactively solving problems alongside technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Applicants must already have the right to live and work in the UK, as we do not offer visa sponsorship.
- Successful candidates must be willing to complete a basic DBS check during onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Drive ongoing upgrades and improvements across our infrastructure and processes, championing the adoption of the latest cloud-native technologies.
- Take ownership of the security, stability, and uptime of our production, staging, and development environments.
- Proactively monitor environments, respond quickly to alerts, and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Maintain network, server, and storage assets within our data centre environments, including AWS VPC, EC2, and networking across a large-scale, multi-region infrastructure.
- Work closely within a supportive systems team, contributing through pair programming, whiteboarding, architecture design, and peer reviews.
