We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cyber Security / IT Security Engineer to join our growing team. We need a strong understanding of core security technologies, including NGFW, WAF, EDR, and SIEM. We require experience in a SOC, security engineering, or infrastructure security role. We need good knowledge of networking and common attack types such as SQL injection, phishing, and malware. We require experience with log analysis and incident investigation. We need familiarity with Windows and/or Linux environments. We require an understanding of OWASP Top 10 security risks. We need the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, incident-driven environment. Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GIAC GSEC, or ISC2 certifications are desirable. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable. Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash is desirable. Exposure to threat hunting or SIEM rule development is desirable.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and responding to security alerts across SIEM and EDR platforms.
- Managing and tuning security tools including firewalls, WAFs, and endpoint protection.
- Investigating and supporting response to security incidents.
- Performing vulnerability assessments and tracking remediation.
- Supporting implementation of security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Contributing to security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assisting with threat detection engineering and rule tuning.
