We are looking for a highly organised, proactive operator to take ownership of the day-to-day running of customer operations. This is not an admin role. You will sit at the centre of the business, ensuring orders flow from entry through to delivery, invoicing and closure, accurately, on time and with full control. You will support Sales Managers by owning all transactional and operational activity, acting as the link between customer, sales and operations. This role requires someone who can handle volume, stay on top of detail and maintain control at all times. Nothing gets missed.
Key Responsibilities
- Order & Operational Control
- Enter and manage sales orders accurately
- Maintain picking lists and ensure data integrity at all times
- Track orders from entry through to delivery and invoicing
- Ensure full visibility of all live orders
- Identify issues early and resolve them before they escape with the planning team
- Log, manage and own customer quality issues through to resolution
- Book and manage transport
- Control delivery schedules and ensure OTIF performance
- Maintain goods-out and transport trackers
- Resolve delivery delays and failures quickly
- Act as the day-to-day contact for customers
- Handle queries relating to orders, deliveries and invoicing
- Chase overdue payments and issue statements
- Manage customer scorecards (OTIF, quality, service)
- Act as the link between customer, sales and operations
- Maintain daily trackers for orders and deliveries
- Ensure all activity is live, accurate and visible
- Highlight risks early and take action
- Maintain control of all outstanding tasks
