In this newly created senior level PR/comms role you will be joining an experienced and established team who are driven by passion and love of good storytelling.

As a talented content creator, a core part of your role will be to manage campaigns whilst creatively shaping projects that inspire and fulfil your clients’ briefs. As part of a small but agile team, you’ll bring confidence, expertise, and a hands-on approach to every aspect of your work. From onboarding new clients and shaping project briefs to crafting strategies, executing campaigns, and delivering impactful reporting, you’ll take ownership at every stage.

With a natural talent for uncovering the perfect creative angle, you’ll excel in delivering high-level communications outputs like workshops, strategies, and brand messaging. At the same time, you’ll ensure flawless execution of day-to-day needs such as press releases, social media campaigns, and website content. Beyond delivery, you’ll play a key role in driving growth. Proactively identifying commercial opportunities within accounts, you’ll add value, expand services, and strengthen client relationships - all while skillfully managing your time and resources across a dynamic portfolio.

The job

  • Oversee and deliver new projects, managing team members, freelancers, and resources.
  • Grasp client briefs quickly and analyse materials to implement plans and meet tight deadlines.
  • Develop and execute innovative marketing and PR concepts, from the launch of new campaigns to delivery.
  • Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional results, converting project clients to loyal, long-term customers.
  • Take ownership of set retained clients, leading regular calls, developing creative solutions, and ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Lead on the production of press releases, generate innovative social media content ideas and copy, and collaborate with the design team to ensure impactful campaigns are produced.
  • Proactively advise clients on press opportunities, social trends, and brand positioning to foster results-driven relationships.
  • Monitor and allocate resources effectively, ensuring alignment with budgets, timelines, and project fees.
  • Own the pitch process, coordinate tenders, and maximise framework opportunities with a commercially astute approach.
  • Play a key role in shaping the agency's long-term vision and growth strategies, ensuring alignment with market trends and business goals.
  • Provide input on internal processes, technology tools, and systems to improve efficiency and scalability as the agency grows.

The person specification

  • Ideally have 10 + years’ experience in a PR, communications, and agency role.
  • Experience with SellToWales and the Welsh market is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of managing multiple accounts and sectors.
  • Exceptional creative writing skills across PR, socials, website copy, blogs and case studies.
  • Strong account management experience gained within a creative agency.
  • Media experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing teams (both internal staff and external freelancers) delivering outstanding results.
  • Strong relationship management skills whilst also delivering on client requirements.
  • Experience producing high-quality pitch documents, tenders, and proposals in a competitive market.
  • Confident in leading client launch meetings and workshops to develop projects or support their marketing/comms strategies.

Salary & benefits

  • Salary is up to £50,000 pa depending on experience.
