We are currently looking for Manufacturing Operators to join our team in the Performance Solutions Division in Dundee, Scotland. As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be assembling and/or inspecting cable assemblies and harnesses, and may be required to work in a cleanroom environment. Standard hours for these roles are 8am – 5pm (Monday – Thursday) and 8am – 1pm (Friday). This role may also involve shift work.

Responsibilities

  • Learn, support, and practice Gore culture.
  • Follow area environmental safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment while working with Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Engineering.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform quality inspection and testing.
  • Perform detailed and accurate record keeping for process documentation and data collection.
  • Cross‑train in the long term in various other manufacturing areas.
  • Utilize our quality system to ensure our process delivers products that meet customer needs and expectations that adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and International Standards Organization.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to meet production goals.
  • Support occasional overtime and flex shift schedule, as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
  • Experience running simple mechanical equipment.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn more advanced systems.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, including providing and responding to feedback.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail while making product quality decisions, adhering to SOPs and written work instructions.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs., bend, and inspect for the entire shift.
  • Adapt to production schedule changes with the ability to work overtime.

Desired Qualifications

  • One year manufacturing assembly experience of small parts.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and/or SAP Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement continuous improvement ideas.
