We are looking for an experienced

Telecoms Field Engineer to join a leading telecommunications project supporting Scotland's critical utility infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on strategic telecom networks, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support services across high-profile customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain telecoms and IP networking equipment.
  • Deliver field engineering services across utility telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call support as required.
  • Conduct site surveys, testing, troubleshooting, and fault resolution.
  • Complete project documentation, risk assessments, and handover reports.
  • Work closely with project engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality standards, and customer SLAs.
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience with telecoms field engineering and network installations.

• Hands-on knowledge of

  • Cisco & Alcatel networking equipment
  • LAN, WAN & MPLS networking
  • SDH, PDH, Microwave Radio & Fibre technologies
  • DC Chargers and Power Systems
  • IP Telephony
  • Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting telecom infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Mandatory).

  • Emergency First Aid at Work
