SAP S/4HANA Technical Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technical Lead to oversee the SAP technical workstream, including development, integrations, and infrastructure activities, as part of large-scale SAP ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs.

Responsibilities

1. SAP Technical Leadership & Strategy
   Lead the end-to-end SAP technical workstream, including custom development, system integrations, and infrastructure activities. Define technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and SAP S/4HANA best practices. Provide architectural guidance on SAP BTP, Fiori, ABAP, and modern integration approaches such as APIs, OData, and middleware solutions. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions within SAP S/4HANA.
2. Development & Integration
   Lead SAP custom development efforts, including ABAP, Fiori/UI5, BTP, and other relevant SAP technologies. Oversee SAP integrations with third-party applications, legacy systems, and cloud solutions. Drive the adoption of SAP BTP, CPI, and API-led integration methodologies. Collaborate with functional and technical teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
3. Infrastructure & Technical Operations
   Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance, security, and availability. Oversee SAP Basis operations, including system upgrades, patches, and cloud migrations. Ensure compliance with SAP security, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements. Support SAP landscape strategy, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployments.
4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
   Act as the primary technical point of contact for business and IT stakeholders. Work closely with SAP functional teams, business users, and third-party vendors to align technical solutions with business needs. Lead and mentor technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Risk Management & Quality Assurance
   Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to SAP best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques. Oversee technical testing strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
6. Project Planning & Execution
   Define and manage the technical roadmap for SAP S/4HANA transformation projects. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of technical deliverables. Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and budget adherence.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields.
2. 15 years of experience in SAP technical architecture, development, and integrations.
3. Extensive experience with SAP S/4HANA transformations, including technical upgrades and greenfield/brownfield implementations.
4. Expertise and good understanding of SAP ABAP, Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP, CPI, and other integration technologies.
5. Strong knowledge of SAP Basis, cloud hosting (AWS/Azure/GCP), and security principles.
6. Experience in DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development within an SAP environment.
7. Proven ability to manage stakeholders, lead technical teams, and deliver high-quality solutions.
8. SAP certifications in S/4HANA Technical Architecture, Development, or Basis preferred.
