We are looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Europe team, to help accelerate our growth in the region - currently focused on the UK & Ireland, but in the coming years planned to expand further across Europe. This role would be perfect for you if you are an experienced SDR/BDR in both outbound and inbound sales motions. Everything at Sitemate is currently inbound, but we will be experimenting with outbound in future, and you could be a part of building out that process. This role would be great for you if you’ve already had some SDR/BDR experience and are looking to progress. Our inbound lead flow is constant, a dream for any SDR.
You will be reporting into our Manager of Sales Development in London and working with the local team, especially the AEs. You won’t be expected to know anything about tech, or our customers’ industries in the built world - construction, utilities, renewables and building. A strong interest in tech and any prior exposure to these industries would help, but otherwise, we’ll teach you everything.
Employment: Full-time
Based: London, United Kingdom
Base Salary (incl. pension): GBP £27,500-38,500
What will I be doing day to day in this role? You will be qualifying and routing inbound leads through three channels; self service, inside sales and field sales. You’ll be spending most of your time with prospects across phone calls, emails and live chat on our website, as well as internal tools like Slack and Salesforce. Your quota is measured by the number of demonstrations booked and completed at the subsequent stage of the process.
What will be the biggest challenges for me in this role? Learning about the built world if you haven’t had any exposure to it - there are a lot of different types of companies and plenty of new terminologies to learn. Up-skilling your call/phone and email skills - although we have plenty of examples for you to learn from during your onboarding. Understanding SaaS financial acronyms and common terminology - if you have not worked in a SaaS company before, there is going to be a lot of metrics to learn.
Definitely not! Our last three new team members have come from Tourism, Online Gaming and Hospitality. We will provide the necessary training and systems to learn about the different industries we work in, and there are multiple team members internally who are from our customer’s industries.
