We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a construction company based in St Albans. This is a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced QS to join a reputable construction main contractor who are involved in commercial new build and fit-out projects. This is a permanent full-time role offering £50-£65k pa DOE plus company car or car allowance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing the commercial aspects of 2–3 concurrent projects valued between £1m and £5m, ensuring high-quality delivery from inception to completion.
- Prepare and control project budgets, forecasts, valuations, and final accounts while administering contracts, including Design & Build (D&B) projects.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver projects within budget, mitigating risks, and maximising value.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Fully qualified Quantity Surveyor (RICS or equivalent) with proven experience managing projects in the £1m–£5m range.
- Experience working within the education and healthcare sectors is desirable; strong understanding of D&B procurement routes is essential.
- Excellent negotiation, commercial awareness, and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
