POSITION PROFILE: Looking to join one of our interdisciplinary engineering teams that collaborates for success? The Systems Engineer role is responsible for the overall reliability and performance of US Government programs containing optical, thermal, and digital observation and targeting systems, as well as weapon mounted laser systems. This role supports new and existing product designs throughout the product lifecycle. This role interprets results and provides feedback effectively across teams for design improvement. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply technical expertise to contribute to test method development, implementation, and validation for military devices/systems
  • Assess design feasibility and test product functionality and/or confirm product capabilities
  • Conduct hands-on tests and experiments while drawing sound conclusions from properly collected data
  • Demonstrate good understanding of required lab equipment, practices, and test methodologies
  • Effectively communicate and work with peers; must be comfortable presenting to and constructively interacting with customers
  • Assist in failure analysis and troubleshooting across a variety of product platforms
  • Routinely interact with vendors/suppliers while demonstrating awareness of industry resources/standards

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • 5 years of Systems Engineering experience supporting new and existing product designs
  • Ability to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas, and knowledge to other individuals and teams
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer relationship skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Must work well and thrive in a deadline driven, fast paced environment
  • Ability to follow-up and anticipate in advance of requests in dealing with varying groups
  • Demonstrated leadership skills while having the ability to be a team player
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • Must be a US Citizen or hold US Protected Individual status

IDEALLY, YOU’LL ALSO HAVE:

  • The ability to obtain secret level security clearance if needed
  • The ability to travel and interact with key users in the field and at Military bases throughout the country if needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience working in a multinational engineering organization
  • Willing to travel to US and abroad approximately 10% of the time
  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Industrial Engineering
