Our goal is to find fresh solutions and cutting‑edge tech to make their operations run like clockwork. Want to be a part of something big? Are you ready to love your job? The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.
The Master Systems Integrator (MSI) Centre of Excellence exists to bring together design, technology, and operations into a unified framework that helps airports evolve into intelligent, efficient, and passenger‑centric ecosystems. As the Senior Solution Integration Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping integration architectures that connect systems, processes, and stakeholders across the entire airport lifecycle. You act as both technical architect and trusted advisor, guiding clients, constructors, and design partners from concept to operation, bridging the gap between technology vision and practical delivery. Operating within early‑stage design and consulting engagements, this role provides strategic systems integration leadership, ensuring that neutral, interoperable, and future‑ready solutions are developed in collaboration with multiple industry participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design and validation of systems integration architectures that meet functional, operational, and non‑functional requirements. Translate complex stakeholder needs into coherent integration blueprints and design frameworks. Ensure proposed architectures reflect interoperability, scalability, resilience, and sustainability principles. Support early‑stage technology assessments, solution scoping, and integration readiness reviews.
- Engagement & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the MSI CoE leadership and regional teams to develop and deliver MSI and advisory engagements. Maintain continuous collaboration with design partners, technology vendors, and airport operators to ensure architectural coherence. Act as the technical focal point for integration‑related discussions during concept and design development.
- Client & Partner Leadership: Engage directly with airport clients, design consultants, and delivery partners to co‑create integration strategies and roadmaps. Facilitate technical and strategic workshops to align technology, business, and design priorities. Provide expert guidance on integration best practices, governance, and architectural methodologies. Build trusted relationships with client executives and technical stakeholders.
- Business Development & Delivery Support: Support regional and global teams in developing MSI propositions, solution strategies, and bid responses. Contribute to defining integration standards, playbooks, and reference architectures for reuse across markets. Engage in vendor assessments, partner evaluations, and ecosystem development activities. Provide architectural oversight and quality assurance throughout project delivery cycles.
- Innovation & Knowledge Enablement: Stay abreast of emerging aviation and smart‑infrastructure technologies (AI, IoT, Cloud, Edge, Digital Twins, Biometrics). Contribute to the continuous development of MSI frameworks, knowledge repositories, and reference models. Advocate for open, interoperable, and design‑led integration approaches that enhance industry collaboration.
Qualifications Experience
- Minimum 7+ years experience in systems integration architecture or complex program delivery within aviation or large infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of airport technology ecosystems, including operational and passenger systems, networks, data platforms, and integration middleware.
- Proven capability in developing multi‑vendor, multi‑stakeholder integration solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in client‑facing advisory, consulting, and architectural leadership roles.
- Comfortable working within multi‑disciplinary, matrix‑managed, and global project environments.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical, structured, and solutions‑oriented mindset.
Profession Competencies
- Customer Focus – Creates solutions that serve the broader needs of airport stakeholders.
- Collaboration – Promotes partnership across disciplines, organizations, and geographies.
- Innovation – Encourages new approaches to integration, automation, and design.
- Integrity & Neutrality – Acts as an impartial advisor promoting open and interoperable ecosystems.
- Continuous Learning – Adapts to evolving technologies and market trends.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or Business (required).
- Transport / Aviation / Infrastructure‑related diploma or degree (preferred).
- Certification in Enterprise Architecture (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate) preferred.
- Project Management qualification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) advantageous.
- Familiarity with Change Management (e.g., Prosci / ADKAR) is beneficial.
This role is ideal for integration architects and consultants who combine technical excellence with stakeholder empathy, thrive in collaborative design environments, and believe in shaping the future of connected, intelligent, and human‑centric airports through open and industry‑aligned MSI practices.
