About The Role

As Senior Manager Corporate Communications, you will lead the transformation of SITA's corporate communications function, driving a shift from product‐centric messaging to strategic, customer‐focused storytelling. You will be responsible for shaping and amplifying SITA's corporate narrative, positioning the company as a thought leader and trusted partner in the travel and transport industry. You will provide strategic direction, coaching, and project leadership. Your role will be pivotal in developing compelling content that reflects business impact, resonates with our customers, and elevates our brand across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Corporate Storytelling & Thought Leadership
    • Develop and execute a strategic storytelling framework that reflects SITA's business impact, market relevance, and customer value.
    • Lead the creation of thought leadership content including white papers, executive messaging, and strategic narratives that reflect industry trends and customer priorities.
    • Shape the brand tone of voice across all communications, guiding teams on how to write and communicate effectively for our target audiences.
  • Strategic Messaging & Positioning
    • Partner with business units, sales geographies, and senior leadership to shape messaging that reflects SITA's strategic direction and resonates with our customers and stakeholders.
    • Ensure messaging quality and alignment with brand voice and strategic goals.
    • Define what 'good' looks like in corporate communications and embed best practices across the function.
  • Content Leadership & Editorial Excellence
    • Oversee the development of high‐quality content across channels.
    • Provide editorial guidance and coaching to ensure consistency, clarity, and strategic alignment.
    • Establish editorial standards and governance frameworks to ensure brand consistency across business units and geographies.
  • Project Management Leadership
    • Inspire a high‐performing communications team, fostering creativity, accountability, and strategic thinking.
    • Manage complex communications projects with cross‐functional stakeholders, ensuring a clear plan, stakeholder communications, and providing measurable impact.
    • Monitor and analyse content performance across platforms, using data‐driven insights to optimise reach, engagement, and effectiveness.
    • Mentor senior communication leaders, building a strong global storytelling capability within the function.
  • People Management
    • Build and nurture a high‐performing Corporate Storytelling team, developing future leaders through coaching, mentoring, and structured capability‐building programs.
    • Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, empowering team members to challenge norms and contribute strategic ideas that advance SITA's narrative.
    • Shape workforce planning and talent strategy for the communications function, ensuring the right mix of skills, diversity, and capacity to support enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Journalism, English, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in corporate communications, preferably in global B2B tech environments.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic storytelling and thought leadership initiatives that drive business impact.
  • Strong editorial and copywriting skills, with a keen eye for tone, clarity, and audience engagement.
  • Experience managing communications teams and complex projects across geographies.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, including C‐suite executives.
  • Prior experience in PR agencies or global tech/travel sectors is a strong asset.
  • Native‐level English proficiency with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
