Purpose
In the network delivery space you will drive a variety of project initiatives that meet the needs of our customer base. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast‐paced environment with one of our largest customers in the UK. Success in this role means you collaborate with the customer, pay attention to detail, be time sensitive, possess influencing skills and enjoy working with others of diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
This role offers a range of responsibilities and possibilities:

  • Managing Work-packages (minor projects): Work-packages and projects will relate to networking and telecommunications, and their size will vary in scope and complexity. You manage the project throughout its life cycle - from inception through closure. You manage change, mitigate risks and deliver results to stakeholders and customers alike. Attention to detail, effective time management, delivering on schedule and within budget will define the success of your work.
  • Working with multiple teams: Every work-package or project is completed through team effort. You work effectively with team members that may be local or distant. You will involve third party service provider where required for delivery of any work-package. You regularly track project activities against plan schedules and take corrective action on any deviations.
  • Working with customers: You are committed to putting the customer first. As a result, you proactively work with the customer and their teams to ensure that each project goal and objective is met with satisfaction.
  • Work-package Management administration: Your ability to articulate and write clearly are key skills to documenting project activities. Documentation ranges from developing communication strategy plans, designing resource and project plans providing status reports, submitting and tracking change requests, tracking risks and issues to providing variance.
  • Estimating effort and drafting Statement of Works: You will capture and understand the customer requirements with the help of technical colleagues where required. Based on such clear understanding, you will estimate the effort and cost of products required to build a cost model.

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge and background of Networking and Telecommunications
  • Knowledge of project management concepts
  • Experience as a Systems Engineer / Administrator responsible for network support
  • 3 years' experience in network delivery, LAN equipment setup, Fibre cabling
  • Experience of working in the Airport / Airline industry preferred.
