We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating and setting up Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of CNC programming, precision machining, and quality inspection to ensure accurate production of components according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate HMC/VMC machines as per job instructions, drawings, and CNC programs.
Interpret and work from engineering blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
Load raw materials and tools, adjust machine settings, and perform tool changes as needed.
Conduct in-process inspections using measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure parts meet tolerances.
Modify offsets and parameters to correct deviations and ensure high-precision machining.
Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machines.
Maintain accurate production records, job cards, and inspection reports.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Collaborate with the production and quality teams to optimize efficiency and part accuracy.
Support in training junior machinists or operators if required.
Essential Qualifications:
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum 2 years of experience operating HMC and/or VMC machines in a manufacturing environment.
Key Skills Required:
Hands-on experience with HMC/VMC operation and setup.
Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and GD&T symbols.
Familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi control systems.
