We are seeking a skilled and experienced ARC Welder to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in manual metal arc (MMA) welding techniques, be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, and deliver high-quality welds on a variety of metal structures.
Main Responsibilities
Perform ARC welding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals as per project requirements.
Read, understand, and interpret welding blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications.
Prepare, align, and clamp workpieces before welding.
Select appropriate electrodes, amperage, and welding techniques for each task.
Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
Maintain welding equipment, tools, and accessories in good working condition.
Adhere to workplace safety procedures, including the use of PPE and hazard prevention.
Collaborate with supervisors, fabricators, and other team members to meet production deadlines.
Conduct basic grinding, cutting, or finishing work when required.
Follow all company quality control and ISO standards in welding operations.
Essential Qualifications
ITI/Diploma in Welding Technology or related trade certification.
Minimum 2 years of relevant ARC welding experience in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing.
Proven ability to work with various welding positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of ARC welding techniques and electrode types.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Familiarity with safety standards and procedures for welding environments.
