SIS are delighted to announce the opening of a new service in Stone, Staffordshire. We have opportunities for support workers who can bring with them a variety of skills to support individuals within a mental health supported living scheme.

The Support Worker role

Our teams provide outstanding care and support, working with individuals to understand their needs and help them to achieve their goals and ambitions. The role of a support worker is extremely rewarding, but can also be challenging at times, so patience and compassion are key.

About The Service

Sherwood House is a new refurbished service which has 12 one-bedroom, self-contained apartments based in the town centre of Stone, close to local amenities and transport links. For the individuals we care for, this may be their first opportunity to live semi-independently and develop independent living skills. Whilst challenging, there is lots of opportunity for the successful candidate to help improve people’s lives and build an excellent team around the service.

What We Are Looking For

  • Level 2 health & social care qualification or willing to work towards this.
  • People that are enthusiastic about making a difference.
  • Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic, and creative within the care sector.
  • Experience of mental health needs and challenging behaviours, this can be work related or from life experiences.
