SIS Care have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Support Worker to join our team. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,690 per annum.

Responsibilities

The role of Senior Support Worker:

  • Assist with the management of a team of support workers alongside the Service manager and deputy manager.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are in place for the needs of the people we support.
  • Demonstrate leadership on a day-to-day basis to the care staff within Solutions in Service (SIS).

Essential Skills

  • Ensure all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals we support.
  • Ability to induct and orientate new employees to the job role and service.
  • Communicate any problems, concerns or changes to the families of the people we support as and when needed.
  • Organise and conduct supervision and appraisals for support workers in line with CQC requirements.

About The Service

This all-male scheme is home to 12 people who benefit from communal living with a 24/7 staff presence. All clients are allocated a key worker and will be supported in a recovery led way, incorporating tools such as Recovery Star, weekly planners, and budget planning.

  • Experience of caring for adults with mental health needs and challenging behaviours.

  • Self-motivated, empathetic, dynamic, and creative within the care sector.
