Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Direct Reports: Installations Team Site Operatives, Sub-Contractors

Location: Home but with requirement to travel nation-wide to installations sites as required. It should be noted that a significant proportion of time will be spent working away from home during the week and possibly at weekends at peak times.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

To support the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director in the effective and best value planning, construction and delivery of the highest quality sports surfaces across the UK. To provide good leadership and supervision of the installations site operatives and third-party sub-contractors to ensure that construction and installations work is undertaken professionally and in full compliance with the client brief.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES / TASKS

  • To manage the third party sub-contractors on projects, including authorization of access to site, ensuring the contractors have the required skills and permits to work on site, and that they are working in compliance with the construction plans, in a safe and professional manner.
  • To ensure that all SIS Health and Safety procedures and works instructions are being adhered to by all workers and visitors on site.
  • To assist with construction work as required, undertaking all elements of installation process, as directed by the Contracts Manager and/or Contracts Director, including the operation of construction plant and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • To complete and maintain accurate records of all works undertaken.
  • To ensure that all operatives on site operate the construction plant and machinery in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring that all machine licenses and all operative licenses are kept up to date.
  • To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time but that shall remain within the competency and skills of the post-holder.
