Job Role: Support worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers must have at least 6 months of experience in care and possess a compassionate attitude.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients in homes, hospitals, or patients\’ own homes. They are vital members of teams in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you would work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Ensuring the ward or patient’s home is tidy
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your work may involve using mobility aids, escorting patients, and training new staff with experience.
